Melissa Benoist Transforms Into 'Supergirl' in These First Look Pics!

Well this is quite a treat – Melissa Benoist ‘s first look photos from Supergirl have just been released!

The 26-year-old actress will be playing the characters of Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in the new series, which is set to begin production this week on the pilot.

Award winning costume designer Colleen Atwood designed the Supergirl outfit. “In designing Supergirl, I wanted to embrace the past, but more importantly, thrust her into the street-style action hero of today,” Colleen said in a statement.
